Manual Vat adjustment and Bridge Software

I use your Bridging Software to submit to HMRC, two business under one company.

I have a posponed import vat entry as a manual adjustment, in the Bridge the vat is correct, but it has not picked up the manuat adjustment and it does not allow me to add it manually, I presume HMRC should be notified of the Posponed Manual adjustment or is that not the case?

If you’re using bridging then you are uploading a spreadsheet to QuickFile with the final box values, all QuickFile does is pass on those values to HMRC’s API. So any adjustments would happen in the software that generates the final bridging spreadsheet, not on QuickFile itself.

I fully agree, and that is why the vat is correct, however if I was reporting the Vat with manual adjustment direct from the accounts without using the bridge, I presumed the manual adjustment was also being reported to HMRC, even though it is in the total, if the manual adjustment is not reported then all is well?

HMRC only ever see the final box 1-9 totals (including the effect of any manual adjustments). The backing records including the amount by which you adjusted things all stays within your QuickFile account, the only time HMRC would see anything beyond the final box totals would be if you got asked about it in a VAT inspection.

In that case, all good.

Thanks
