Message alert for unread messages, but can't find any

I have searched the forum and can’t find anything … I think this is a bug on the desktop.

Happens to me every day when I log in. I click to check for messages, and there are no messages ever.
Not a biggie but annoying.

Do you see any messages at all? Are they archived perhaps (but still unread)?
