Metro Bank - Opinion wanted / Yodlee query

We are looking to move our bank account to Metrobank - does anyone else use Metrobank for their banking and can we easily import data into Quickfile? Does anyone know if Yodlee runs automatic bank feeds into Metrobank as they currently do for Lloyds? Will we lose any data by changing our banking provider?

Hi @Slang

I personally don’t have any experience with Metro, so we’ll leave this thread open for a few days for other users to add their comments.

Just to answer your query:

I’ve had a quick look through our records and I can see other users with accounts set up with transactions being pulled in automatically. It may depend on the set up (e.g. Barclays requires you to set up using a memorable word rather than a security pin), but it does appear to be supported.

In terms of QuickFile, no. You would just create a new bank account once you’ve logged in, and use that going forward, as you’ve probably done with your existing account.

Hope that helps!

I bank with metro and would be a nice option they are an up and coming bank in the South east with banks that are open til 8pm 7 days a week in fact they are only closed 3 days a year (Christmas day, New years day and Easter Sunday)

With the Open Banking Project we expect to see all major UK banks providing a direct API by the first quarter of 2018 for transactional data. In the mean time I’m quite sure you will be able to use Yodlee to setup a feed with Metro Bank.
