Missed Direct Debit

Hi, I set up a recurring invoice for a customer with the issue date being 1st September. This should have been linked to the Direct Debit mandate for GoCardless to request funds on the 1st, but I’d forgotten to tick ‘Auto Bill with Direct Debit’, so the invoice is outstanding.

I’ve now enabled the auto bill option – but will September’s invoice happen automatically now with GoCardless, or has this ship sailed? Do I need to collect this month’s invoice separately?

Once the invoice has been issued, the autobill feature won’t be used for that specific invoice.

However, you can still collect by direct debit if you wish. This guide should hopefully help: Setting up Direct Debits
