Moving to Making Tax Digital for VAT

I received the below email from my accountant, can you assist. Thanks Michael.

As part of HMRC’S digital transformation, they are moving Vat customer accounts to a new IT system that does not accept XML submissions.

As a result, we cannot use the link that you sent to Yxxxx on 8th January, to file the return.

You need to speak to your software provider to see what they have to do, in order for us to continue to use the software to file the return.

Your accountant should know that you either need to register for making tax digital and file that way, or you can manually enter the vat figures in your vat account.

If your accountant submits the figures for you then they can either register you for making tax digital or they can file the figures manually via their agent account.
