we have submitted 29th april 17.28 our vat return. it says it has been saved, . do we not get an instant email as we do with paye from either the tax or yourselves.
No, if the submission worked in QuickFile then it worked at HMRC - it’s not like PAYE where there’s a short delay between submission and acceptance.
When I did my first MTD VAT return I was likewise surprised not to get any confirmation by email but I logged in to my HMRC dashboard directly within a few minutes of submitting on QuickFile and the return was already showing there.
