MTD VAT filing

Hi,

I am trying to submit a VAT return for my client. However, on the VAT Returns screen I am getting the error:

" You are not yet authorised to view this report for the VRN XXXXXXXXX"."

and on the HMRC screen I am getting the error:

" Client not Authorised

The account you have linked to QuickFile is not authorised to access or file VAT information for the VAT registration XXXXXXXXX."

We have always filed online through Quickfile and they are part of our HMRC agents account. I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting on the HMRC tab of Quickfile (as I understand it needed resetting after 18 months) but am still getting the same error messages. Does anyone know how I would be able to submit and file the returns? They are definitely signed up to MTD.

Completely delete the link so none are showing, then set it up again and run through the linking process.

Also remember to log in to hmrc with your ASA account and not your old agent account.

Thank you, all fixed now. Turns out I was linking to the wrong account (my bad).
