MTD without an Accountant

My accountant has said he will not deal with Quickfile - Xero only. I am a Sole Trader. Two questions:

What is being charged for the 5 MTD submissions and end of year Self Assessment?

Just how does the MTD submission work - is there a step by step guide please?
