I have just set up merchant bank account which I have from beginning of December 2016. I created opening balance as for 2nd February. I set up it as default now. Is it OK or should I start tagging from 1st December. I did the same with Paypal merchant account.

When is your first transaction on the account? The opening balance should be the first transaction on the account, and everything else follows from there.
