New to quick file inventory question

Im a little confused with inventory and how it works

if a create an item it asks for cost qty but when i add it to an invoice it shows as the sale value

do i manually input the sale price or what am I doing wrong

Where does it register the cost of sale ?

I think that might just be a terminology inconsistency. There is only one price for each item, I think it just gets called cost or sale price depending on where you are looking at it.

mm so how does they sytem work out cost of sale ?

It doesn’t, the inventory isn’t that advanced, it is more of a list of saved items.
