Hi
I Have completed the latest VAT entry using QF for the first time and everything seemed to go well untill after submitting the message says "Your VAT return has been save on quick file PLEASE NOTE this return has not been submitted to HMRC .
Can you assist please ?
Providing everything is set up correctly (e.g. with MTD you’ve connected your HMRC account), you should see a “Submit electronically to HMRC” tick box when preparing your return.
As this one is already saved, you will need to click the “Rollback” button at the bottom and re-create it. Providing the box is ticked we’ll attempt to submit it for you.
Hi, had a similar issue so rolled back data as advised. VAT return is now showing in red “Rolled Back”. Will this be automatically resubmitted. Can’t see “Submit electronically to HMRC” since i did roll back. I both registered the link with HMRC via Quickfile and also enabled via HMRC. Just a bit lost as this is my first VAT return with QF and don’t want to be late. Any advice appreciated. Ideally if this is not working would be happy and easy to start again and delete existing info which is minimal. Will otherwise wait a few days incase waiting for registration…
Thanks for any help… D.
We won’t automatically submit the return for you. Once it’s rolled back it will just undo any movement of figures in the chart of accounts, as if the return has never been run.
As you’ve got the link with HMRC set up, if you go to Reports >> HMRC >> VAT Obligations. From here you can select the period HMRC are expecting and you can submit it here. As it’s a new return you should also see the tick box to file it.
Hope that helps, but please let me know if we can help further.
Thanks for your response, having followed your guide I have now receive dthe following,
" You are not yet authorised to view this report for the VRN 468044240 . Please ensure your VAT number is correct and you have connected the corresponding HMRC Tax Account. If you have recently enrolled on the MTD scheme please allow 24 hours for HMRC systems to update."
any help would be apreciated !
