One VAT registered return, two HMRC returns

I run two businesses and use one quickfile login so that I can submit one vat return for each period. However, I need to create two tax returns each year. How can I separate the income/expenses for each business as it seems quickfile merges all the income/expenses for each business? I am a sole trader but the two businesses are separate - lawyer & farmer. Accountant says I should only submit one VAT return which is why running one instance of quickfile. Also income from lawyering keeps farm afloat so transfers from lawyer income to farm bank accounts.

Hello @v2xjNZlKpf

You could use project tags on your invoices.

You can run a profit and loss based on a project

The accounts would be under 1 business/vat return but you could split sales/expenses etc
