I am trying to continue using my online filing for my VAT returns as I am exempt from using MTD, but I cannot get it to work on here. It won’t allow me to produce the report anymore.
I have ticked the ‘Enable online filing’ in the VAT settings and entered my username and password but it is not working. Not sure what the branch number should be? I emailed support but am not getting a response, and I need to do my VAT return.
The message shows this ‘We can’t find an active Tax Account or the Tax Account has not been linked in your VAT Settings’ then when I go to settings to enable online filing it doesn’t work.

Regarding the email - we don’t generally offer support by email, unless it’s relating to an account access issue (for example). I’m not sure where you sent your email, but typically the ones from the forum are no reply addresses.
i cannot get my quickfile account up and running. No idea now what each box is for when i enable online filing, not sure now what was entered when initially registered. i am registered for MTD according to them with the right account number.
With “Online Filing” checked, you just need to enable “MTD Features” and select the relevant HMRC account. The HMRC accounts are linked from Reports >> HMRC.
