Paying myself a salary as director

Hi. I’m looking to pay myself a one-off salary payment - I’m a director.

Do I enter this as a ‘purchase’ from the dashboard?

Do you have a paye scheme registered with hmrc? If not then you can’t pay yourself a salary.

What you can pay yourself is a dividend or a directors loan.

If you register for paye then come back I can advise how to book the payments.

In that case, tag the payment as something else not on this list and select dividends paid.
