Purchase of inventory for cash

How do I capture into Quickfile the purchase of inventory for cash from a supermarket?

It was a cash purchase(as represented by a PAPER TILL RECEIPT from a supermarket) I guess I have to do the following:

-Capture the Net Amount

-Tick Box:“This item has been paid in full”

I am right or wrong?


It depends where the cash came from, was it petty cash withdrawn from you business account at an earlier date or your own personal cash?

If it’s petty cash, you would just log the purchase and pay it from the petty cash account.
