I am new to Quickfile, and ave not yet added my card details to the system.
I just wanted to check that once I have added the card I’d be able to pay purchase invoices through Quickfile, or would I need to log on to my online banking, pay through bacs, then come back to quickfile to mark the purchase as being paid?

I think there may be a bit of confusion here as we don’t store card details, nor can process payments for purchase invoices. You would still need to pay the purchase invoices through your bank (or card, or cash - whatever you arrange with your suppliers), and then log each purchase as paid in QuickFile.
ah okay, I was under the impression i could make payments through the software,

Clients can pay you, and you can take payments from them using services such as GoCardless and Stripe - both of which integrate into QuickFile, but payments can’t be made out unfortunately.
