Quickfile automatically changing invoice rate upon saving invoice

I’m raising an invoice with two line items, the first line item is fine. The second however keeps changing the rate inserted when it is saved. I enter £45.00, and when it saves and I preview the invoice it shows at £44.99. It keeps doing this repeatedly. I’ve even tried putting in £45.01, but then it doesn’t change and shows at £45.01. Please can you help ASAP as I need to issue the invoice - it’s the ifrst time I’ve had this problem.

Hi @CowlingQS

Can you confirm what invoice this is please, and I’ll take a quick look?

Hi

It’s 000089, thanks for your help

I can see what’s happening, but I’m not sure why. I’ve referred this to our dev team to see if they can spot it.

Bear with us, and we’ll come back to you shortly

No problem, thank you. Is it likely to be today?

Possibly, but I can’t make any promises I’m sorry. As soon as someone replies to this thread however, the forums will automatically email you (unless you’ve been active)

[Edit]
I’ve just heard back :slightly_smiling:

There’s a rounding adjustment due to the discount being used, which is applied on the VAT inclusive figure. It’s a little bit complex in all honesty!

You can however use a simple fix to get around it for now, which is to remove the discount and add a negative value line.

Another way around it is to switch off VAT inclusive entry:

This was tested, and it works fine

I hope that helps!

Thank you - I’ve just put the line item in as you suggest. For some reason I can’t get the VAT inclusive solution to work but I’ll keep an eye on it for next time.
