QuickFile Backup not using correct email address

Hi Chaps,

Just thought I’d let you know of something that looks like a bug.

A while ago I changed the main, primary account email address on my account from one email address to another. This was not reflected in the backups that are emailed out from QF so I went in and changed the backup settings to one thing and then changed them back in an attempt to re-apply the settings hoping it would switch to the current address. However, it is still sending backups to the old address so it must be hardcoded somewhere and not updating from the email address fields.

The backups are emailed to the main account address rather than any specific user account email. The main account email address can be located in Account Settings >> Routine Emails (scroll to the bottom).

That makes sense now! That email address is the same as the clients see when I send out emails so needs to be the generic email address for their replies but I thought the backups would go to the primary account address.

Have you got a Dropbox account? The other option is to have the backups to import directly into Dropbox.

No, not a massive fan of Cloud services so don’t have one…“He says whilst using a cloud bookkeeping service…” :smiley:
