Recording an "Interest Adjustment"

I have received an “Interest Adjustment” on my credit card statement and don’t know how to record it into my accounts.

I record Interest by making a purchase from my bank for the interest amount and paying it with the credit card but if I create a credit note to my bank there will be nothing to pay…

I think you could just tag it directly to the nominal ledger ‘Bank Interest Paid (7900)’.

From bank tagging you need to select the option “Something else not on the list”.
