I would like to delete or remove year end journal as at 5th April 2016 as if it never was done.
How do I go about removing it?
You should simply be able to locate the journal, open the journal in the editing screen and hit the red delete button. Are you able to do this?
Fairly new to Quickfile - I located the journal from the journal Report but could not find the editing screen
I could go to the journal from the Report Screen and could zeros it but was unable to save it
On the journal list click here:
Then scroll to the bottom of the journal and click the delete button:
Year end journals can only be removed in sequence (newest first).

I would now like to remove the year end journal for year ended 5th April 2015.
I went to REPORTS than to JOURNALS and selected the Journal I wanted to Remove.
But all crosses were greyed out and I got a message:
This journal is in a locked period and cannot be modified. If you need to modify this journal please check and remove any year-end journals that are locking this period.
But there was no indication from where to remove
There’s an account lock date that must be cleared before the journal can be removed.
In the left hand quick search box enter “account lock” and it should come up for you. Clear the date in the box and save.
If you have other year end journals it should at least roll back the date as far as the last journal. After that you should then be able to delete that year-end journal.
