One of our Samsung tablets broke last month and was replaced under warranty. As part of the swap we were given a £20 refund. I’ve generated a purchase record with 1 line showing the refund, 1 showing the purchase and £20 credit balance, I coded it to office equipment (assets).
Do I need to make any journal entries or will this be sufficient? The original tablet had been depreciated by £64 in the 2014-15 accounts.
