Resubmit Vat Return

Hi,
If HMRC are asking for a Vat returns from 2 years ago, if they are still in my folder am I still able to resubmit them.

You can yes.

The vat returns have to be done in chronological order so if you have submitted returns in Quickfile these need rolling back.

The Reports > Vat Returns screen will only show the 5 most recent periods.

To get to older periods

• Go to Reports > HMRC
• Click view next to your tax account then vat obligations
• You can then use the previous and next year options to navigate older return periods

Before attempting to generate a return ensure that the Reports > Vat Returns Settings > Vat filing start date is set to the start of the first period you are doing as anything prior to this date will be excluded.
