Sales invoice with advance date

hi, am i correct in thinking i can raise an invoice with an advanced date to my vat return date?

i mean for example, im still working on purchases to october, but i want to send out schedule invoices and create others in sales?

secondly, is there a limit to how far ahead these are?

just thought i would check this.

Hi @magnacom

Yes, you can raise an invoice upto 10 years in advance. The VAT return will only pull in figures upto the end date of the return itself.

However, we always recommend you download the calculations report just to double check everything prior to submitting it.

hi, is there a way to bypass the error on import as i wanted to import advance transactions there.

Error at line 29: Invoice Issue date cannot be in future 13/10/2018 .
Error at line 30: Invoice Issue date cannot be in future 13/10/2018 .
Error at line 31: Invoice Issue date cannot be in future 14/10/2018 .
