Save button on client area customisation not appear working (FireFox)

After uploading a logo (and selecting autoresize) then picking a colour theme and changing one of the colours the save button does not work. Even if just adding a logo the save does not work - using Chrome and no errors showing (is it something with the resize image function)

Hi @Jonathan_Richardson

Iā€™ve just tried uploading a logo and resized it without any issues.

Are you getting any of these messages at all (or similar)?

or

If so, are you clicking ā€˜Save Bannersā€™ at the bottom of that page?

Edit: I should add, in light or Lurchā€™s comment below, this was tested in Chrome with the custom trading style enabled.

Are your colour changes not showing on the editor or when you preview the client control panelā€¦ or both? Can you try doing a hard refresh CTRL + F5.

Iā€™ve tried to replicate this but Iā€™m unable to reproduce the problem you describe. Hereā€™s what I did:

  1. Upload a very large image.
  2. QF prompts to Auto-Resize, I confirm this action.
  3. I then edited one of the 4 colours.
  4. Finally I clicked the ā€œSave Bannersā€ button to confirm the colour change.

I was having an issue with this, but in the custom trading style client area customisation. What browser are you using? I havenā€™t had a chance to recheck why it wasnā€™t working yet, it is nearly the next item on my list to revisit this.

ETA: Hmm, just gone through it again and it all seems to work now. I followed the same process from the KB so not sure what wasnā€™t working previously, the only differences are updates to the browser and OS and a reboot of the PC so no idea.

ETA2: So, first time round it wouldnā€™t save anything, it just worked when I modified the logo but now I am trying to modify the colour scheme and footer text but it wonā€™t save, it says it has but then refreshing the screen and everything is as it was.

ETA3: Just tried this with Chrome and when I hit save I get forwarded to a page that I have not seen so far in Firefox. I would assume that this means the save function is getting silently lost when you click the popup that appears. Not sure why it worked a few minutes ago though as I didnā€™t get forwarded to this new page when the logo save stuck.

Are you referring to this page?

Before saving thereā€™s a confirm box, Iā€™m just wondering if they have been muted for Chrome users experiencing this issue? We are gradually replacing all these boxes with HTML/Javascript confirmations.

Yes.

Using Firefox I see the confirmation box, click OK then nothing happens.
Using Chrome I see the confirmation box, click OK then get forwarded to the above page.

I replicated this on Firefoxā€¦ no confirm screen and no save.

Thatā€™s strange, weā€™ll have a look at that today.

EDIT:

This should now be working correctly on Firefox as weā€™ve removed the browser confirm with a HTML version. Weā€™re slowly replacing these on all parts of the site now.

EDIT 2:

You may need to hard refresh that page (CTRL + F5) for the new updates to appear, we missed the cache suffix (will be there shortly).

I am wondering if settings related to blocking popups are causing this - no proof yet but having turned pop up blocking I did get to save an image - still cant save colour changes though

@Jonathan_Richardson try disabling any browser extensions. Are you using Chrome, weā€™ve since changed to a different method of showing confirmations which shouldnā€™t trigger any popup blockers.

Also if you set your desired colours and post a screenshot here my colleague or I can update your account.

Finally even when you successfully change on the editor screen, if you impersonate a client account to see the results, always try a CTRL + F5 to force your browser cache to clear.
