Second business

Hi,

I’m just in the process of setting up a second business.

Having always been happy using quickfile I’d like to use it for this also.

Do I have to sign up as a new user account with seperate login etc?

Thank you,
Jim

Hi Jim,

Is this second business a separate limited company or is it part of an existing limited company or are you trading under your own name, i.e. as a sole proprietor?

Hi,

No sole trader at the moment.

Although I will need to run two separate accounts for both, due to the two things being so different.

The invoices will be for supplies etc so the volume will be a lot lower. I would like to keep things as simple as possible.

Many thanks,
Jim

Having two accounts will allow you to keep the reporting completely separate. Given you’re a sole trader that shouldn’t present an issue. It’s just worth noting that if both accounts are over the “large” threshold you would either need to obtain two Power User Subscriptions or merge them into an Affinity account.

I also want to run 2 quickfile sets of accounts for 2 different (sole trader) companies. While I see you have said thta shouldn’t present an issue, you don’t explain how to go about it. It would be helpful if you could advise how to do this.

Hi Cyndy,
Just go to the quickfile web site: https://www.quickfile.co.uk/
and click on Affinity in the top menu to the left of login

The Affinity log in page opens and there is also a “To register click here” beside the login button

Or you can use this direct link: https://affinity.quickfile.co.uk/register.aspx

Once registered you can add your current quickfile account(s) by following the add profile instructions

Its very reasonable monthly pricing and if you do not need the power user facilities just let them expire no need to renew them, as affinity provides a single access dashboard for any size account
