'Send later' invoices

Hello. I often write emails and set them to send early the next morning or whenever. Sometimes it suits me to do a wee bit of work in the evening in readiness for the next morning, but I don’t want emails to go out with a time stamp of eg 9pm (or 4am if it’s a sleepless night). Sometimes I’ve wanted to set up invoices when I have the time, but I can’t see how to set them to go out to the customer at a given time. I know I could create the invoice with a post date and then send it when I’m ready, but half the point is that I just do it once and know it will go out at the right time. Today is a good example - I have an hour when I could create all the invoices dated 1st September 2021 and set them to go out on 31st August, but I’ll still have to remember to send them out.

Has QF considered a feature which sets a date and time to send an invoice, or does it exist and I’ve missed it? I couldn’t see anything when I dug about. NB These aren’t necessarily recurring invoices.

Thanks.

Hi @HeatherD

There isn’t a particular feature in QuickFile for this, but there is a marketplace add-on offered by a third party that can automatically send a draft invoice on the issue date (if it’s in the future).

In your account, go to Account Settings >> 3rd Party Integrations >> App Marketplace, and look for Invoice Autosend.

Hope that helps!

Thanks, we’ll look into it.
