Senders Name - SMTP Setup

Hi, I have searched but have not found how to do this. I have set up SMTP to route outbound messages via my domain. This all works fine however when a customer receives an email from me with an estimate/invoice etc, instead of my company name as the sender it displays the whole email address. Is there anyway to change the from field? I can see a way to change the email address but there doesn’t seem to be an option to change the from field unless I’ve missed it ? Any help would be much appreciated.

We don’t currently support “from names” in the SMTP settings. There is a feature to track this here, it is something that we are likely to address in due course.

Pleased to say we have now rolled out support for “Email from names”. If you go into the SMTP settings you can add a from name here.
