Can you tell me if our vat return was sent to HMRC please. Our account number is 6131464699. Quickfile said it was sent on 25/04/16 and marked success but looking on HMRC website it isn’t recorded.
This VAT return was only saved to QuickFile, it doesn’t look like electronic filing is enabled on your account.
If you go into Reports >> VAT Returns >> Settings you will be able to configure your online filing credentials here. You will then see a check box when generating new VAT returns to file electronically with HMRC.
If I do as you say will the vat return that is completed be sent?
No it will only affect VAT Returns you file from the point you enter the filing credentials.
For any previously generated VAT returns you would need to log into HMRC and enter the figures directly into boxes 1-9.

Or roll back the return in QuickFile and run it again once you’ve enabled e-filing, then QuickFile will submit it for you.
