SMTP errors again from Gmail

hi,

ive had this happen before for no apparat reason.

i use gmail and an app password.

nothing has changed at all.

i got this email from quickfile:

We have been unable to send a number of items through your own custom SMTP email server. The last 3 consecutive attempts failed. The error recorded is as follows:

when i log in to look at the app password in gmail it says it was last used this morning.

i setup a new app password and updated the settings in quickfile.

quickfile still shows:

It looks like there was a problem reaching your SMTP service

Hi @adnw

Sorry to hear you’re experiencing some issues here.

Have you changed the main password on the Google Mail account? That can invalidate the app passwords.

no i havent changed anything at all, including the main password.

the old app password is still active and hasnt changed.

i have setup a new one and input the new password into quickfile, but its still showing that error

any update on this?

ive just checked again and it still has this error. this is without originally changing anything, and with creating a new app password

Hi @adnw

Apologies for the delay. We’re doing some testing, but I’m going to send you a private message to get your account number so we can look at your account specifically.

You should see a green message notification in the top right corner shortly.
