How do I split payment - part payment towards Trade Debtor entry and part towards new invoice?
Assuming the transaction is on the bank account and you just need to tag it, then select “pay down multiple invoices” after you’ve clicked “payment from a customer” and once you select the customer you can assign the balance to the relevant invoices.
From the tagging screen itself you can either create a new invoice or use the payment to pay down existing invoices but not both at the same time. So you will need to create the new invoice “by hand” first, then use the “pay down multiple invoices” tagging option (or tag first, pay down the existing invoice and save the rest as a payment on account, then manually create the new invoice and log payment -> apply from credit - the overall effect is the same either way).
