We’ve just taken a card payment over the phone and used Stripe via QuickFile. What would be good is if we had an option to send a “Thank you for your payment” email using this option.
There is already a template for "New Payment Received " which you can find in the email template section. We could optionally fire this off when a payment is received via Stripe, PayPal etc? Would that work?
I think that would do the job. I just like the idea of a confirmation email being sent if we process the payment our end.
OK I will add some notes to our planner. We’re pretty snowed under with a few other areas at the moment so I can’t promise it will be imminent.
No problem at all! Looking forward to all the new features!
@Glenn,
Just looking at Stripe, and this may be easier than suspected. All that would be needed, is to pass an email address to Stripe, and they will issue a receipt on the businesses behalf.
Found it here: https://support.stripe.com/questions/does-stripe-offer-email-receipts
I suppose all you would need to do, is find out who viewed the invoice, and pass their email along so it’s sent to the correct person? Although I appreciate it’s easier said than done in most cases!
OK that sounds quite straight forward to implement. I’ve logged this in our short term planner for further review.
@Parker1090 just to let you know we have now implemented this feature by passing in the client email as you recommend on your earlier post. Let me know if that’s all working ok.
That’s great news! Will let you know if there are any issues
