Student loan amount criteria: Government Grant included?

Couldn’t find anywhere more suitable to post this to get good answers so here goes. In order to work out my son’s student loan, we use my earnings (I’m self employed and divorced). The more I earn, the less he gets as a loan, so my question is do the government grants I’ve received (SEISS) go towards my earnings (obviuosly I pay tax on them) or are they not classed as earnings when working out a student loan? Reason for asking is I am trying to work out how much he can afford for accommodation next academic year. Thanks in advance if you can help.

SEISS Grants are classed as taxable income on an individual 's personal Tax Return and subject to income tax and class 4 nic. My suspicion is that it will be seen as income for all purposes.
