Subscription - old vs new quickfile account

I’m contacting you in relation to the change whereby we need to pay to use quickfile i.e. take out a poweruser subscription.

This fine on this account, and I have done so.

Between early 2013 and April 2015 I operated as a sole trader. I used quickfile for this business, account.

In what is essentially a continuation of the same business, but legally is a new business, I began training as a limited company in April 2015.

I had to start a new quickfile account, as it is a limited company structure rather than sole trader. So a new quickfile account under a different email address from the same domain.

The limited company quickfile account is the one I use. However, I am a solo director and not much has changed in regards to the business.

I do not use the old sole trader quickfile account, but we are coming up to the self assessment submission date at the end of the month for which I will use the accounts on the old quickfile account. I have not got these finalised, and still need to do some work on them before submitting my self assessment.

Although these two different quickfile accounts are legally two different businesses, the limited company quickfile account which I started in April 2015 is essentially just a continuation of the old sole trader business, and I have not recorded a single transaction in the sole trader quickfile account since I started using the limited company quickfile account.

Due to needing to pay to access it, I am now left in a position whereby I cannot access the sole trader quickfile account, and the 7 days defer option is unlikely to give me enough time to do what I need to do on it.

I was a sole trader. I am now a single director of a limited company and in most regards the business is a continuation, and I would ideally like not to have to pay quickfile twice, even if there is a separate quickfile account for each legal form of the business.
