Tax Summary - why are Donations added back?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew why Donations [8200] are added back in the Tax Summary. I researched online and it seems that charitable donations by limited companies are tax deductible, see HMRC guidance: https://www.gov.uk/tax-limited-company-gives-to-charity/overview

Can anyone help explain the apparent error?

Many thanks!

Mark

You can configure the add-back codes yourself.

Sole traders cannot usually add back donations, I believe that’s why it’s included as a precaution. Limited Companies on the other hand can, although I believe the system only uses one set of defaults for all account types. I’d need to check that.

Thanks Glenn. Helpful to know this aspect is set up for sole traders. Just wasn’t sure if I was missing something as regards limited companies.
