Can I run year end/close period with your tool with open/untagged transactions in my credit card account? The transactions actually relate to the period being closed but on my accountant’s instructions need to be posted to the new period as they were detected after the closing year end accounts finalisation.
Or should I delete the offending transactions, close the period using your year end tool, and then re-enter the transactions in the new period?

I would definitely delete those untagged entries rather than closing the period while they are untagged. The system will probably not allow you to tag them anyway once the period is closed.

Will QF allow me to enter the original date against these transactions which of course is now in a closed period? or do I have to enter a date that is in the new period?
You’ll need to enter them in the new period. Being able to enter them in the closed period would alter the figures and defeat the purpose of locking.
