A client receives invoices in USD. But payment is made in sterling. The sterling doesn’t precisely match the system’s figure for the invoice. How can I allocate the GBP receipt into my bank account to the invoice, and write off the difference?
Ah, I realised what is the answer. I was looking at the bank account, and expecting to tag the receipt somehow. But the process has to be done from the invoice, where I found I could simply mark it paid and say how much had been received. Nice!
