I am looking to develop an API app to help speed up our end of year accounts process. We operate about 50 client accounts through our Affinity account so it would need to access those.
As I understand it the normal API setup is tied to 1 account. Can this be our Affinity account?
The partner program allows multi account access but requires the app to be public, but this is purely in-house so we would not want, or be able to support, that.
Apologies if this is not the right place to ask this, but any help would be appreciated.
Hi @Oldiwon
The Partner Apps you are seeing may be referring to our older setup. The newer set up with a REST API offers an oauth process, too.
Creating an app in this way does not automatically make it available to all users. The market place (for partner apps) will be updated in due course, but it’s a work in progress at the moment.
Thanks for the reply.
I did not see the link to the new Rest API for Partners. I will give that a go.
Might I suggest that when you do get the apps market place live, that you give app creators the option to keep an app private.
Thanks for the help.
It will be launched as an opt-in service, rather than opt-out, so you will need to submit the app to the marketplace for it to be listed.
