I got an email saying my connection to HMRC for VAT will expire on xx date. So I tried to reconnect the account and get the following error
SERVER_ERROR. The ‘organisations/vat’ API is currently unavailable
Please help as I need to do a VAT return in a few days.
All you can do is try again later - this is an error when QuickFile tries to talk to HMRC, its HMRC who need to fix it.
It may be that they’ve deliberately chosen now to take the API down for updates, given we’ve just passed the peak VAT submission date (the 7th of the month deadline day), I’d try again in a couple of days time.
