VAT return hasn't been sent to HMRC

Hi, I have entered my invoices for the current vat quarter, posted all the invoices as paid and tried to do a vat return. It is showing as saved not submitted in QuickFile. It has not sent the calculations to hmrc so does not show as a vat return on the hmrc website. I am not able to resend on QuickFile. I have done the same routine many times before and never had an issue. Solution please.

Are you enrolled on MTD for VAT?

Hi Matthew, yes I am registered on MTD, I have used QuickFile to do MTD returns before and not had an issue.

Hi Matthew, are you able to shine any light on this problem? As things stand I can’t register a VAT return.

If your MTD is all set up then you should be able to just “roll back” the return that shows as saved and then create a new one for the same period and double check that the online submission box is ticked.
