VAT Return Rejected, VRN Not Found

Hi, I’ve tried to submit my first VAT return via quickfile but it has been rejected saying the VRN was not found. I don’t know what to do as i’ve checked and it is our VAT number.

Do you definitely have the correct HMRC tax account connected to QuickFile (double check if you have more than one)? When did you sign up for MTD? If it was very recent then it takes several days between the initial sign up and actually being able to submit returns.

Thanks for the reply. I had signed up for MTD correctly but I hadn’t connected my Quickfile account to HMRC correctly. All resolved now. Thanks.
