I am trying to retrieve details of my last vat return but I cannot get into it I keep receiving an error message, I am unable to link the vat to HMRC it does’nt recognise any of my details and all my links are correct on HMRC

It may be worth going into Reports > HMRC and removing the existing links as there is more than one listed.

Try re adding the link ensuring you link the correct Tax account for the business

Thank you I will try that, I have been onto Hmrc however and they won’t let me register for MTD they have closed registration apparently and they will contact me. that doesn’t help me in seeing my last return

I can see that although you have not submitted via QuickFile you do have data relating to 2022 in your account.

You could get an I dead based on this by turning off electronic filing and running a return

Reports > Var Returns >Settings > set the HMRC account to “No electronic Filing” > Save the screen

Try generating a return for the required period

Note - This is purely based on what you have entered into QuickFile and is not reading anything from HMRC.

That’s fine as I have not submitted via quickfile anyway I had to enter it manually on their site so it’s purely the reports I wanted thank you for your quick response I will look at doing this
