Hi, the system won’t let me upload my excel spreadsheet to file my VAT return. It gives the message “The value in the mapped position for box 1 cannot be parsed”
It’s normally no problem at all, I’m doing everything I usually do.
Has anyone had this problem before?
I’m a day late in filing - would that make a difference?

Have you checked the format of the cells and made sure there aren’t any special characters or spaces in the box one box?
Hi, yes I have - it didn’t work, unfortunately. Box 1 is a sum of other boxes.
There was some kind of Excel oddness going on as I created a new report from scratch and that one worked.
Many thanks for your reply - I don’t know what the error was but it was definitely something to do with Excel.
