Please direct me to closing periods both moth and year end functions.
We offer a year end tool that creates a journal and moves the balances. This can be found by going to Account Settings >> All Settings >> Year End Tool.

this is not really what I was looking for, I wanted to lock month and year end periods. Thanks
If you’re just looking to lock a period to prevent any changes, there is an account lock option. This can be set to any date, not specifically month or year end.
This can be found in Account Settings >> All Settings >> Account Lock Date
It’s worth noting that at year end when you run the year end tool I linked to above, this will put a lock in place on the account.
