Year end - Creditors control account

Am I going mad? I am trying to complete my first year end in Quickfile and I cant seem to find what the creditors control account is made up of.
I have 2 outstanding invoices, totalling £650 but the account balance is £1303.06 cr. I cant see for looking on the chart of account.
Any advice gratefully received.

If you’re looking at the Chart of Accounts then the numbers you see there are not balances, they’re just the total of transactions during the relevant year not counting any opening balance at the start of the year. The “trial balance” report is the one that gives the full picture with opening and closing balances.

Hi Ian,

Thank you, it is the trial balance I am looking at. I’ve read some other posts that discuss unallocated credit. I have now run the appropriate report for that but I am still left £300+ shy of the total shown on the trial balance.

Hello @Donna_Ladd

Did you manage to resolve this as I have just had a look at the account associated with your name (DML Bookkeeping) and there are no outstanding purchase invoices.

If this is not the correct account please send me a private message with your company name and account number and I will take a look for you.
