An Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a meeting of the company’s shareholders and directors. An AGM will typically cover a range of matters such as the rotation of directors, appointment of auditors and review of accounts. The meeting also provides an opportunity for the shareholders to pose questions to the directors of the company.
Since the implementation of the 2006 Companies Act it is no longer required that a company holds an AGM unless stated otherwise in the company’s Articles of Association.
