How can I add Share Capital to the balance sheet?

Hi,

I can’t see the share capital in the balance sheet?

Does share capital always have to be included every time you do your annual accounts?

thanks

Firstly I am not an accountant, so I would always recommend you seek additional advice on this matter.

However typically if the shares are paid up (i.e. you transferred funds to your Ltd account to pay for the shares) then you would usually journal in the following entry.

DR Bank (e.g. 1200)
CR Ordrinary Shares (3000)

If you have not yet paid for the share capital then you would use:

DR Director’s Loan Account (1201)
CR Ordrinary Shares (3000)

Hi,

Just to let you know that the share capital must be included in your balance sheet.

Kind Regards,
