Account transfers in the suspense account

I have a loan account to which I make monthly transfers from the main current account.
I also have a second ‘current’ account set up to which I make transfers from the main current account to accurately record BACS payments.
My query is as to why the transfers to the loan account - but not the ones to the ‘BACS’ account - appear as matching debits and credits in the suspense account as well?
Thank you

Not sure if this helps at all:

Thank you.
You are clearly much more skilled at searching for the right thing in the forum than me! I thought I had exhausted every possible search phrase!
At least it would appear I am not doing anything wrong. Although it is still strange that it should track one account transfer in this way and not the other. I ran this past the bookkeeper for my company (not on Quickfile) and she couldn’t see why it was recording anything in the suspense account at all!
Still, no harm done.
Thanks again.

Interesting, so does this mean that a “bank transfer” actually counts as four ledger entries towards the L/XL threshold rather than just two?

Hi @ian_roberts

If you have a look in your account settings, you can drill down and see where the entries are. I’ve just checked my test account (everything is tagged) and the suspense nominal isn’t one that’s listed.

However, I will double check and come back to you
