Can the ability to report by predefined periods be added (as per chart of accounts)
Would you be looking for the report to be limited to just the selected period, with the option of weeks/months?
Ideally yes - the main problem with the current options - reporting by year,quarter or month does it by calendar year and not financial year. Maybe a simple tick box to switch between calendar and financial year would simplify it. I have never had a use case for using weekly reporting so cant comment on that

I would like to add my voice, in support of this feature.
When looking at the monthly view, I get the figures for every month of data held.
It would be nice, when looking to see how things are going from month to month, to just see the figures for the current financial year, rather than everything on file. This would save scrolling left and right a little, as well as making the charts look less cluttered.
