How to enter payroll transactions

How do l enter payroll transactions that have been paid under a different payroll software. For example:

Gross salary :£2,000
NI. : £100
PAYE. : £120
Uniforms. : £80
Net wages. : £1,7000

If you use something like The Payroll Site, this links with QuickFile and can save you doing the journals.

This is my attempt to explain what you’re trying to achieve when you enter the payroll journals. In your case it’s slightly more complex with the uniforms bit, is that supposed to come out of the gross salary (i.e. the employee pays) or is it an additional payment on top of the salary?
