Supplier statements are not possible at present. There is a feature request for this, please feel free to add your vote.
You can use the below to get the transaction lists from the suppliers account.
View > All Payments
View > All Invoices

Doesn’t look like there is much demand (looking at the feature request you linked to) for it but surprised that with
An all invoice report
An all payments report
That one cannot simply get a report that combines these two in to one
